Grant Planner

Applying for grants or fellowships this year? Use this worksheet to sketch out your project, the available grants in your area, and then list your plans in an easy check-off format!

Plan your grants for the year!

I've received eight grants since I began applying for them in 2020. Each season I "mind plan" the ones I want to apply for. I created this planner to make it easier for myself, and for you!

Learn more about what grants are, where to find them, and sketch out the grants in your area and your ideas for your project. I even offer you an example of my own grant planning for the year, complete with links to the grant programs I plan to apply to!

Note the grants that could be a fit for your project and list them in a handy check-off format along with their deadlines. Be sure to read the guidelines and eligibility requirements for your grant carefully and contact the organization to ask if your project is something they would fund. Then get started applying!

I'm Yolande House, a creative nonfiction writer whose work has appeared in literary journals such as The Rumpus, Grain, Joyland, Hippocampus, and The Fiddlehead. My work has been supported by Access Copyright, the Ontario Arts Council, and the Canada Council for the Arts, and I've has assisted others in successfully applying for grant funding.
